Appearing at the State Theatre, February 9, 2018

The Long Afternoon is delighted to announce that we will be performing once again at the State Theatre in State College, Pa. on February 9, 2018, as part of the “Rock the ’80’s” concert, which benefits the extremely worthwhile and awe-inspiring Bob Perks Cancer Fund.

The show will start at 7 p.m. Learn more and get tickets at the State Theatre’s site here: http://thestatetheatre.org/rock-the-80s-2/

This will be, if memory serves, our fifth sixth year supporting this cause. If you’ve seen us at one of the previous Rock the 80’s shows, you know that we’ve covered everything from New Order’s “Blue Monday” to DEVO’s “Freedom of Choice” to The Bangles’ “Walk Like an Egyptian.” We cannot reveal what songs we will be performing this year, but we can say that this year we will not be performing in drag.

Probably.

This event features many great performers and bands, and benefits a truly deserving charity, and is just a complete kaboodle of fun to boot. If you’re in the State College area on Friday, February 9, 2018, you really need to be there.
