A Girl Like You Live at the State Theatre

The Long Afternoon rarely plays covers, but we’re glad to do it for a cause like the Bob Perks Fund.  J.-P.’s lovely wife, Felicia, captured some video of our performance at the Rock the 80’s benefit concert last Friday at the State Theatre in State College, Pa.  We can think of no better day than Valentine’s Day to share our take on “A Girl Like You” by the Smithereens.

The young lady singing the harmony parts is Ms. Fiona Mulley, the daughter of Felicia and J.-P. Mulley, The Long Afternoon guitarist, making her public rock-and-roll debut. She did an amazing job, we think you’ll agree.

We were glad to cover this song to honor Smithereens leader Pat DiNizio, who passed away in January, and also because it rocks.
